Of Course Someone Else is More Talented... So What?!

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think this is worth remembering - there are people way more qualified, experienced, knowledgeable, connected and possibly even flat out wiser than you are. And there are people infinitely less _________ as well.

Yes, you and I, we should be pressing into the areas we want and need to grow in. We can take business classes to help understand that side of our creative pursuits. We can hit up writing conferences and groups. We can take vocal lessons and stretch our skills with a new drum teacher. We can find a more challenging job or dive into a degree for condensed training in that particular area.

No matter what we do there's one absolute, foundational reality to our creative journey...

You are the only one with that story inside you.

You are the only one with that song brewing.

You are the only one with that painting, exact photo, design nuance or business idea stirring in your gut.

So if that idea is yours, what are you willing to do next to bring it to life in a way that only you can do?

I know, I know, there's someone more talented and capable of running with your idea... but so what?! Plan it, work it, know it inside and out and continue to become that developed, professional, healthy and more wise version of yourself.

And if your idea bombs... pick up the next one, after all, that what a wise person does.

Oh yeah, and most of us need some help with perspective and pursuit, clarity and confidence along the way. Let's spend a season together in a coaching partnership and push ahead before you start binge-watching someone else's next season.
