Attitude / Emotion Insurance

What would happen if we insured our attitude or our emotional investments.

Seriously.

What is insurance, anyways? It's nothing more than an arrangement, an agreement to compensate for an unexpected wound, failure or loss. Most of us, including myself, immediately think about $$ and homes and physical health and cars and kids. And we insure these whenever possible.

But what about our mindset, our emotion?

We plan for the loss. That's all. We set our hearts and minds on divine things above and beyond the dirt. We assume failure will occur on our mission to conquer, serve, rescue and create. We insure by setting healthy and real and honest expectations for the journey ahead and then we jump we attempt to jump the shark.

Insurance doesn't protect anything. Homes burn. Accidents happen. Banks fail. But insurance does offer a helpful landing pad on the fall, some fresh soil for standing up and setting back out on mission.

Are you insured?
